I want to share my music tastes with all of you. I'm going to list and briefly review my favorite records. Records that I own and that you should too. I'll post five of them every entries I write. I'm in Biarritz for the week which means until Sunday and there is Internet access in my family's apartment so I can start making the list right now! So far Biarritz has been fun and not too boring even there isn't much to do here and people look very spoiled and superficial. The weather is okay but still kind of cloudy, I hear it's very sunny in Paris right now, heh. We went to Spain which is only 30 minutes from Biarritz in order to buy lots of Spanish goods and things that are cheaper than in France, like gas. I bought Children Of Men and Pan's Labyrinth there because I heard they were great movies. We also shopped downtown. There are no Kirsten Dunst or Mischa Barton lookalikes here :(. I want one. Here are the five first albums, in no particular order...

I got back into vidding and actually finished a video this morning. I still have an aspect ratio problem to fix and I think I won't post the vid before I have another one done, probably a Buffy one. I've had fun making it and tried to make it look a little artistic so it's an experimental video. And it's pretty short, about two minutes.

In the meantime, here's a very short film I made. It's not really a short film since a short film is supposed to be at least 8 minutes. This one is not even two seconds. Watch it on my Imeem Profile. It's dumb.

Oh and I met Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind about two weeks ago. It was great. I went with a friend who pretty much shares my passion for film making and pop art/new wave movie directors. She let me do the annoying work which consisted in waiting in line for about an hour and a half in order to have seats in the conference room. It was worth it, though! I got to seat at the second row, about two meters from him. He spoke a lot about The Science Of Sleep, which is a movie I highly recommend. It's a very sweet movie and wonderfully done. I think it captures perfectly the mood of young people living in Paris nowadays. After the interview ended, a little séance de dédicace was set up. My friend got her DVD signed and left without saying a word to Mimi Gogo (the nickname we gave him, altough I tend to call him Mich), she wanted to hug him but was afraid to ask. Then after I came to the table and he signed my region 1 dvd, and I asked him if I could shake his hand, which I did after he said "Bien sûr! (=of course)". I don't really know if I sounded pathetic at that moment. Anyway so I ended up buying the region 2 dvd because it has all that great bonus features and a little comic book. The thing that bothered me most is that the bodyguards (they weren't bodyguards, more like planners wearing suits) wouldn't let us take pictures of him.

So ... I was bored (suddenly I enjoy being bored) and capped Marie Antoinette. Here's a cool picspam that I hope you will enjoy and I thought it might be a good project to do a picspams of all my favorite movies. MA is first because the dvd was within 1 meter from me.

This week succkkks! I'm tired, I want to sleep but I don't have time to. Instead I have to make research on something that I don't care about and something that is 100% useless for a 3 hour-class on a Saturday morning. Hopefully next week looks cooler but still packed with work.

On Wednesday I'm going to go with two friends in Paris to meet one of the best movie directors I know ... Michel Gondry! Great, right? I mean if you've seen his work you can understand my excitement. If I'm lucky I'll be able to speak to him for at least 5 minutes but I sure will get my Science Of Sleep and Eternal Sunshine dvds signed, and get a picture.

Air will perform at the Chateau de Versailles in June. Should I go? I mean I've listened to Pocket Symphony many times since I bought it and started to think all the songs sounded the same : piano-heavy. They should have included that Il secondo giorno song that was featured in the Marie Antoinette soundtrack, which I really recommend. I don't know ... Air in Versailles really sounds like something that would happen only once.

Happy birthday Buffy! I haven't watched a single episode since 2007 started but I think this anniversary is a great reason to start a marathon. Here's a list of my favorite episodes, in no particular order. Sorry for the bad quality pictures I'm just too lazy to open Photoshop and thanks to [info]universeandu.
